Kerry Garza founded Touchstone Communities in 2000 with the goal of developing attractive and sustainable communities that enrich the lives of each family member by providing a vast array of amenities and a true ‘neighborhood’ atmosphere. With more than 32 years of experience in land development and the creation and construction of over 35,000 homes and several million square feet of commercial buildings, Kerry understands the desires of each neighborhood and creates perfectly adapted and eco-friendly sanctuaries.
Prior to forming Touchstone Communities, Kerry led major real estate development firms such as EastLake Development, Shea Homes, SunCal Companies, and Starwood Development. He created and managed many projects with budgets over $250 million that included major infrastructure such as highways, sewer treatment plants, water pump stations, fire stations, and environmental mitigation and preservation.
Kerry has built a prestigious company – known for its expertise, integrity and credibility with award-winning and sustainable projects across California. Kerry’s commitment to quality and his attention to detail have created a reputation for being an exceptional developer and partner.
As the Company’s Vice-President and leader of the Acquisition team, Addison’s expertise lies in the sourcing, analyzing and acquiring of unique development opportunities to create the foundation for appealing residential master planned communities. He has over 8 years of experience working in the Real Estate Industry and has managed over $100 million of complex acquisition, entitlement, and development budgets. While he primarily focuses on the financing aspects of potential real estate investments, Addison also manages corporate tasks and supervises all aspects of current projects. He has developed a deep insight of Southern California’s residential real estate market and his vision for long-term success is clearly articulated through his oversight of operational processes and the Company’s sustainable and organic growth strategy.
Addison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate from San Diego State University and has completed an exchange program in International Relations at the prestigious Oxford University in the United Kingdom.
Niklas joined Touchstone Communities after earning his Master’s of Science degree in Business from Germany’s most prestigious Business School – University of Mannheim. With his international and academic background, Niklas facilitates different perspectives and approaches within Touchstone Communities. As VP of the Finance & Investments team, he focuses on the analysis of potential real estate investments, interacts with the activities of our acquisition due diligence team and cooperates with potential capital partners and principals regarding properties for potential investment. Niklas provides valuable insight into the Company’s strategic growth decisions and engages in the management of our current projects.
In addition to his Master’s of Science degree in Business, Niklas holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business from University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany and was a visiting scholar at the MBA Program of IPADE Business School in Mexico City and at San Diego State University.
